Mariah Carey to Headline Brighton and Hove Pride 2025
Pop sensation Mariah Carey is set to headline the highly anticipated Brighton and Hove Pride in 2025, bringing her iconic presence to the event’s Pride on the Park celebration. The festival will return to Preston Park in Brighton, the UK’s LGBTQ+ hub, on Saturday, August 2.
According to a press release, fans are eagerly awaiting Mariah’s performance, with the announcement described as giving “a whole new meaning to Gay Christmas.” Pride-goers and “Lambs” alike can look forward to an unforgettable experience featuring glitter, emotional hits, and the rare opportunity to see the global superstar on a Pride stage.
Mariah Carey, famous for hits like We Belong Together, was originally scheduled to headline the 2020 event, but the festival was canceled due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
The festivities will kick off with the annual LGBTQ+ Community Parade, which will embrace the theme Ravishing Rage. The theme celebrates “resilience, spirit, passion, and unity,” setting the tone for a weekend of powerful and inclusive celebration.
Paul Kemp, Managing Director of the festival, expressed excitement about Mariah’s long-awaited appearance, saying, “We were so excited to have her join us in 2020 and absolutely gutted the show couldn’t go ahead due to pandemic restrictions that summer. This year is going to be incredibly momentous, and we can’t wait to show you everything that we’ve got planned for Pride ‘25!”
