Take That to Headline F1 75 Live Event at London’s O2 Arena
Take That are set to headline the highly anticipated F1 75 Live event, marking a spectacular celebration of Formula 1’s 75th anniversary. The iconic pop group, known for hits like Shine and Rule the World, will perform at the event next Tuesday, February 18, 2025, at London’s O2 Arena. The event will feature all ten racing teams unveiling their new drivers and car liveries, providing fans with an up-close look at the stars and cars of the upcoming season.
A source revealed to The Sun newspaper’s Bizarre column, “Formula 1 fans are in for a massive treat at the O2. Not only will they be seeing the cars and drivers up close, but Take That will be playing.” The source also hinted at more major stars being lined up for the event, marking the first time in Formula 1 history that such an event has been organized to celebrate the sport’s rich history.
The organisers are confident that Take That will bring an extra level of excitement to the event. “They think Take That will really lift the event,” the insider added.
It’s shaping up to be a busy few days for Take That, with the group—comprised of Gary Barlow, Howard Donald, and Mark Owen—also set to perform at the BAFTA Film Awards on Sunday, February 16, 2025.
After embarking on their This Life on Tour last year, Gary Barlow shared his relief at being back on the road, admitting that there was a time when the band feared they may never tour again. “We’re all relieved [to be back on tour]. There was definitely a moment three or four years ago when we thought: ‘Will we ever be back onstage again?’” said the 54-year-old singer. “It’s been terrific so far, and we’re hugely proud to be playing the amount of dates we’re playing.”
