Madonna Announces New Album “Confessions Part 2”
Madonna, the iconic Queen of Pop, has confirmed she’s working on a follow-up to her 2005 hit album Confessions on a Dance Floor. Titled Confessions Part 2, the upcoming record promises to deliver a similar disco and electro-pop vibe, reflecting the sound of its predecessor which featured major hits like “Hung Up,” “Sorry,” and “Jump.”
A Special Valentine’s Day Announcement
On Valentine’s Day, Madonna shared her excitement with fans on Instagram, revealing her heart and soul have gone into creating the new music. She wrote: “My Valentine’s Day gift to all my fans is to let you know I’m putting my heart and soul into my new music and I can’t wait to share it with you!! ‘Confessions Part 2.'” Along with her message, Madonna posted a series of photos from the recording studio, offering a glimpse into the process.
Collaborating with Stuart Price Again
In the pictures, Madonna is seen working with producer and DJ Stuart Price, a long-time collaborator who played a significant role on Confessions on a Dance Floor as well as her 2003 album American Life. Price also worked with Madonna on several of her world tours, including the 2001 Drowned World Tour, 2004’s Re-Invention World Tour, and the 2006 Confessions Tour. Most recently, Price joined her for The Celebration Tour in 2023-2024.
Madonna’s First Album Since 2019
Confessions Part 2 will be Madonna’s first album since 2019’s Madame X. Fans got a preview of her new music direction back in December when Madonna teased the collaboration with Price, hinting at releases in 2025. She expressed her enthusiasm on Instagram, saying: “Working on new music with Stuart Price. These past few months have been medicine for my SOUL. Songwriting and making music is the one area where I don’t need to ask anyone for their permission. I’m so excited to share it with you. Who wants to hear new music in 2025!”
With Confessions Part 2, Madonna is poised to bring more of her signature style and creativity to the dancefloor. Fans are eagerly awaiting what’s next from the pop legend!
