Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs Faces New Sexual Assault Lawsuits as He Awaits Trial

Rapper and Mogul Denies Allegations in Multiple Lawsuits

Sean “Diddy” Combs is facing new lawsuits alleging sexual assault, although he continues to deny the accusations. These lawsuits add to a growing list of legal challenges the rapper and mogul is facing, as he awaits trial on federal charges.

Lawsuits Filed in New York Court

On Tuesday, a man referred to as John Doe filed a lawsuit in New York’s Southern District court, anonymously accusing Combs of coercing him into sex acts over several years. The man, an adult entertainer in Las Vegas, claims he was hired by Combs in 2007 to perform a strip show, and that the alleged assaults continued until 2012 at various locations, including hotel rooms and Combs’ residences across the U.S.

The lawsuit, which was reviewed by Rolling Stone, accuses Combs of pressuring the man to engage in sexual acts beyond what had been agreed upon, including intercourse with women. The complaint also claims Combs drugged the man with Viagra, filmed the encounters covertly for blackmail, and manipulated him by promising to help with his music career. The suit further alleges that Combs “effectively imprisoned” the man by using surveillance and filming to control him.

Combs Denies Allegations

In response, Combs’ legal team denied the accusations, asserting, “No matter how many lawsuits are filed, it won’t change the fact that Mr. Combs has never sexually assaulted or sex-trafficked anyone – man or woman, adult or minor.” They expressed confidence that the judicial process will clear Combs’ name.

Additional Lawsuits Filed

On the same day, two women also filed anonymous lawsuits against Combs, alleging they were drugged and sexually assaulted during parties hosted by him in the 1990s. One of the women claims that an assault was filmed, and that Combs refused her request to delete the footage. Combs’ legal team issued a denial of these allegations to Billboard.

Additionally, another man, also filing anonymously as John Doe, brought forward a separate lawsuit related to an alleged 2015 incident. The man, an aspiring rapper at the time, claims Combs gave him a drink at a party that caused him to lose consciousness. When he woke up, he alleges that Combs was groping him and then tried to coerce him into sex with an unknown woman. The man claims the incident caused him severe emotional and physical distress. Combs’ legal team issued the same blanket denial in response.

Combs Faces Federal Charges

Combs is also awaiting trial on separate federal charges, which include allegations of abuse, threats, coercion, and leading a racketeering conspiracy involving sex trafficking, forced labor, kidnapping, arson, bribery, and obstruction of justice. He has pleaded not guilty to these charges. His trial is scheduled to begin on May 5, 2025.

Currently, Combs is being held at New York’s Metropolitan Detention Center, having been denied bail three times. In addition to these federal charges, Combs is facing numerous civil lawsuits, including those related to the new sexual assault allegations.
