Lil Wayne Announces Release Date for Tha Carter VI

Lil Wayne has confirmed that the highly anticipated Tha Carter VI will be released on June 6. The sixth installment in his iconic album series marks the latest chapter for the Louisiana-born rapper, although details about the project remain scarce for now.

Wayne first introduced his Carter series in 2004 with Tha Carter, followed by Tha Carter II in 2005, Tha Carter III in 2008, and Tha Carter IV in 2011. The fifth album, Tha Carter V, was initially slated for release in 2014 but faced several delays before finally being released in September 2018.

Since Tha Carter V, Lil Wayne has dropped multiple projects including No Ceilings 3, Funeral, Trust Fund Babies, Tha Fix Before tha VI, and Welcome 2 Collegrove. In addition, he’s featured in a new Cetaphil commercial, which humorously addresses his exclusion from the Super Bowl LIX halftime show.
